Emily continued her pitching career at Huntington University (Huntington, Indiana) for 4 years. She led Huntington University to 2 NAIA National Tournament appearances. Emily was announced Crossroads League Pitcher of the Year in 2016. She also holds the school record for most wins in a single season at 22 wins. At Huntington, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.

Emily instructed Huntington University pitchers in the Fall of 2016 and gave pitching lessons at Bk’s Softball Lounge in Brownstown, MI from 2018-2021. She spent her travel ball years pitching for the Queens of Diamonds Fastpitch Softball team from 2008-2012. She was also the Assistant Coach of the 16U Michigan Odyssey Fastpitch team for 2 seasons.

Emily received pitching instruction for 8+ years from Doug Gillis. A two-time USA Softball men’s major division national champion, Gillis won a gold medal in 2002 on the USA National Team during the Pan-American Championships and a gold medal in 1998 at the U.S. Olympic Festival. He has been a pitching coach for Missouri, Kennessaw St, and most recently Virginia Tech.

Emily is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a certification which she earned through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Emily has worked with girls from ages 8-18 to improve sport performance through strength and agility training.
